THE-MACHINE-SHOP EXPERIENCE is a set of interactive, hands-on activities and games that will entertain the crowd and keep the people engaged, making your show, event or festival even more desirable. 

In the true spirit of THE-MACHINE-SHOP,  our set up stands out and our crew is friendly, energetic and always ready to have some fun.

If advertised well, this could be a feature that people come especially for - we can say that with confidence based on true feedback.

You can have all the features or you can pick and choose. 

We are happy to make small changes to the stand design and layout to suit your event better and we are also open to ideas and suggestions for new features.

To say our welding booth is very popular and gets very busy, would be an understatement.

People come over to have a go at MIG, TIG and Aluminium welding in a safe and fun environment, then get to keep the piece they've created as a souvenir. 

Our booth is designed to attract viewers who can safely look into what's happening inside, thanks to our special UV protected see-through structure, and it is suitable for both in- and outdoors settings. 

WE PROVIDE: All consumables are included in the cost and we bring all machines and materials for MIG, TIG and Aluminium welding, as well as all PPE, vented helmets, air extractors and Teflon flooring (if needed). 

HOW DOES IT WORK? - We have a slots-booking system.

Our most popular method is 10 mins slots running all day long. 

As our welding booth is designed to fit up to two learners at a time, this means that we can have from 42 to 84 participants per day. 

This feature usually gets fully booked up for the day before lunch time.

There is no age limit on who can have a go at welding, however due to the nature of this activity we require each learner to sign a Risks Of Welding Declaration Form. 

The TYER-CHANGING-CHALLENGE is a fun game that gets people really going! 

The appearance and competitive side of it creates a fun entertainment for the crowd who would gather round and cheer people on. Often a group of friends would have competitions between themselves or would try to set a personal best, making their day out really memorable. 

Other times, people would have a go just because they want to learn how to change a tyre. 

HOW DOES IT WORK? - The aim of the game is to put the tyre on and take it off the wheel as fast as you can. 

A member of our crew would explain how to do it step by step, then the participant will have a practice go, then a timed go - or best of a few tries. 

The challenge is timed by a specially  installed super accurate "Rubik's cube" timer which one must tap to start and then as soon as the tyre pops off the wheel tap again to stop it. 

Their time is then put on a magnetic strip and placed on our "Top Gear" style score board, which is another thing that makes this game so appealing to people. 

SAFETY - The wheel is secured firmly on and the tyre machine which spins by pressing the spin pedal. 

As this is a professional tyre changing machine, it doesn't require any physical strength, meaning that even a kid can do it and it's completely safe. 

STRATEGIES -  We always suggest to the organisers to invite any of the special guests they have to have a go. We put their times on a special part of the score board so then the visiting participants can compete with the "big names", making the experience even more unique. 

Another idea we recommend is offering an incentive for a daily winner.

This feature gets very busy and popular and brings a lot of people over to your event.

Most people are scared or think there's no way they can service their own bikes. 

With this feature, we aim to show people how easy it is to do it yourself instead of having to pay hundreds of pounds to a garage. We then have Q&As on any related hot topics.

HOW DOES IT WORK? - This feature takes place on our specially built stage. 

We have a stereo and mics system that allow for a clear communication. We usually have 2 presenters on stage who would bounce off one another with banter and jokes, making the demo fun. 

We would pick a participant from the crowd (ideally someone with no experience in this) to come up on the stage and have a go while we talk them through the process. This way we demonstrate how easy it is and how everyone can do it.

We finish the demo off with Q&As and talks about insights from the industry, as well as technical tips and tricks. 

THE DEMO INCLUDES:

• Q&As 

We would usually like to have at least one bike on display that has been custom built at our workshop by one of our members. This way we encourage people and show them that even a non professional can build a high quality custom bike as long as they have the right equipment. 

This feature attracts viewers and makes for a good technical conversation. 

The CUSTOM-BUILD Bike Display comes as a part of the set-up and it's free of charge.

Our rates depend on the event duration, location, accommodation and estimated crew members.
